Central adiposity refers to fat between the abdominal organs. Since skinfold tests only measure subcutaneous adiposity, or fat between the skin and the muscle, the skinfold test is a poor one for some strength athletes with larger bellies. A DEXA measure is superior in this case. It's also important to note that central adiposity is the worst kind; it's the kind that leads wives and children to bury their husbands and daddies young. There's a high correlation between the fat in your abdominal region and your heart disease risk.

The role of a good Personal Trainer is twofold: Education and Motivation. The best way to judge a trainer's effectiveness is to watch his clients in his abscence.
I'm proud to say, the majority of my clients are as capable as many junior trainers and show their expertise in decisions made both in and out of the gym.

My role is that of a professional nag . .getting you to do the good things for you that will take you to your health and fitness goals. It's always done with a smile- sometimes I push and sometimes I slow you down, depending on what is right for you that day.

Guidance in correct diet choices and supplement regimes is a must, given the plethora of pills and promises that pervade this industry. Correct lifestyle coupled with planned training means consistent, rewarding results that you deserve for your efforts.

When you do well, I do well - You and your successes are my marketing. So always count on this as a win/ win relationship.

My education, areas of expertise and decades in the business are your guarantee that you're in good and caring hands. We'll never do things you can't or shouldn't do . . .but equally, you'll be amazed at what you really are capable of when you do the right things !

I do the bulk of my work out of the GoodLife Fitness Club at the s. end of the Toronto Eaton Center and am always eager to welcome new clients.
